This course provides initial Fuel Tank Safety (FTS) Phase 1 training for personnel involved in the management, quality oversight, and certification of fuel tank maintenance activities. It covers the background and history of fuel tank safety incidents, the regulatory requirements introduced following major accidents, the concept of Critical Design Configuration Control Limitations (CDCCLs), and the responsibilities of management and quality personnel in maintaining FTS compliance. The course is produced in accordance with Appendix IV to AMC 145.A.30(e) and 145.B.10(3) and is applicable to post-holders, managers, quality managers, and quality monitoring staff within Part 145 approved organisations.
